Building A Sustainable Apartment // Part 3

A couple of weeks ago, a dear friend asked me if we ever finished that apartment we were working on. I gave her a puzzled look, because for a second, I had no idea what on earth she was talking about. If you have forgotten too, maybe here and here will refresh your memory. It feels like ages ago, but to answer her, and probably your question, the answer is ‘yes’.

For the final back-breaking stage of the remodel, we had to call in professional reinforcements. Good thing we know a guy. The Mr.’s dad drove up for a visit to help us knock a couple of holes in the wall, and install a new door and window.

Next, we installed pine boards for the wall covering. I was even allowed to use the nail gun!

And someone neglected her duties as official photographer of the project, so that is all the photos I have. My B! We also added a fresh coat of paint to the walls and floor. Installed a new tile counter top and sink. Built a composting toilet. And did some other pretty cool stuff. It was a beautiful place to call home. For three weeks anyway.
