I love Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a wonderful holiday centered around family traditions (and fabulous food). This year, we had planned to skip tradition and not travel for the holiday, but at the last minute we said, ‘What the heck! Let’s hit the road!’
Due to the snow day we had the day before, and because we are newbies to living up on the mountain and had not purchased snow chains yet, we had to park the car at the bottom of the road the previous night. The Escape (that’s pronounced Es-cop-A) just couldn’t make it up the hill. The next morning was another failed attempt to get the old girl up to our driveway, so improvise we must.
After a 1/4 of a mile hike and a 210 mile drive, we were home to spend Thanksgiving with our family.
And to have a very merry time.
And to over stuff our bellies with home cooked food, naturally.
This was my plate. And yes, I ate every bite. 🙂
