Earth Paste

Ever since I stumbled across Clean House, Clean Planet at a used book store, I was hooked. On not spending another dime on harsh, toxic chemicals to clean my home, that is. Karen Logan, if you ever read my blog, let it be known that I think you are a genius. Her book is full of safe, nontoxic recipes and concoctions to clean your home and breath at the same time. One recipe a day of cleaning would not be possible without is Earth Pasteβ„’.

Earth Pasteβ„’ – Tub and Tile Cleaner

What You Need:
~ 1 2/3 cup baking soda
~ 1/2 cup liquid soap
~ 2 tbsp. water
~ 2 tbsp. vinegar

How to Make It:
Mix baking soda with liquid soap in a bowl. Add water and mix with fork until smooth. Stir in vinegar last. The mixture will foam nicely. Scoop your scrub into a jar and start cleaning!

Take Notes:
~ If you find your paste has dried out after storage, add a little water and mix with a fork.
~ Whatever scent you choose for your liquid soap will be the scent of the scrub. My favies are Dr. Bronner’s Organic Pure Castile Liquid Soap in Citrus Orange and Hemp Tea Tree, which you can find for a reasonable price at Vitacost.

(I take absolutely no credit for the creation of this recipe. To find this recipe and more, I encourage you to buy, swap, or borrow Clean House, Clean Planet by Karen Logan. You won’t be disappointed!)
